Change and Adoption Manager
Up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Fixed term for 12 months. Full time (37.5 hours a week)
The role
As our Change and Adoption Manager, you’ll lead the people side of our finance transformation programme, helping colleagues understand, prepare for and adopt new systems, processes and ways of working.
This is an opportunity to shape the change management approach and put it into practice. You’ll combine an understanding of Finance with clear communication, thoughtful stakeholder engagement and practical learning support. From identifying how teams will be affected to understanding what’s helping or hindering adoption, you’ll make sure people’s needs inform delivery.
Success will mean more than getting a new system live. It will mean colleagues have the knowledge, skills and confidence to work differently, and that those changes deliver lasting business benefits. Along the way, you’ll help strengthen our wider approach to managing change.
The team
You’ll join our Digital Delivery team, reporting to the Digital Delivery Lead and working closely with colleagues across Finance, Digital, Technology and HR.
For this programme, you’ll connect the people delivering technical change with the people using new finance systems and processes every day. Working with senior leaders, subject matter experts and colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help turn programme plans into changes that work in practice.
What you will do
Shape and deliver the change approach: assess impacts and readiness, identify barriers and develop practical plans aligned with programme milestones and business outcomes.
Build engagement across the organisation: work with senior leaders, Finance teams and wider stakeholders, developing a network of change champions and using workshops and feedback to support delivery.
Make complex change understandable: create clear, timely communications tailored to different audiences, helping colleagues understand what’s changing and what it means for them.
Support learning and adoption: coordinate training, user guides and support resources with subject matter experts and our managed service provider.
Measure progress and sustain change: use adoption data and feedback to identify further support, inform improvements and help the programme achieve its intended benefits.
What you will bring
Experience leading change in large-scale transformation programmes, using recognised change management approaches to plan and deliver practical support.
Experience supporting finance transformation and working within or closely alongside Finance teams, whether through finance systems implementation, process improvement, shared services or operating model change.
Evidence of delivering successful organisational change and technology adoption, with an analytical approach to understanding progress and where further support is needed.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including working with senior leaders and bringing people together across teams and organisational levels.
Experience developing communications, training and engagement approaches, translating complex change into clear messages and practical learning that help people work differently.
