We strive to create a workplace where everyone can be themselves and have the support they need to reach their full potential.

We are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer
We’ve made several commitments to support disabled people as an organisation, including through recruitment. For example, we ringfence a minimum number of interview slots for disabled applicants who apply via the scheme and meet the essential criteria for a role. You can opt in to the scheme by ticking the relevant box in the application form. Learn more about our Disability Confident commitment.

Diversity monitoring at Energy Saving Trust
We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. To help us achieve this, we ask candidates to share diversity-related data during the application process - information about your identity, background and experiences.
We use this data for diversity monitoring and reporting purposes only. It is not part of the selection process and will not impact your application.
Sharing is always optional.
Disabled candidates
Under the Equality Act 2010, a person has a disability ‘if they have a physical or mental impairment, and the impairment has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities’. This can include people with experiences of physical or sensory conditions, neurodivergence, mental health conditions and other health/medical conditions such as HIV, epilepsy, cancer.
Neurodivergent candidates
Neurodivergent is a term that describes people whose brains work differently from what is considered typical. This can include differences in attention, learning, communication, sensory processing, and more. Examples of neurodivergent conditions include autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette syndrome, and other neurological or cognitive differences.'
You can find out more about why we collect this data and how we use it here.
Reasonable adjustments

We encourage applicants to request reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process. You don’t need to share the name or details of your condition/disability to do so.
A reasonable adjustment is a change to a process, practice, procedure or environment that helps remove, reduce or prevent the obstacles faced by a disabled job applicant or worker. You can find examples of adjustments that could be made to recruitment on our page here.
If you think you may need support or adjustments made to any part of the application or recruitment process, please get in touch with recruitment@est.org.uk or call reception on 020 7222 0101. We’ll do our best to support you.
